In 2021, the camp continued the practice of starting each day with Tahajjud, followed by reading sessions in the peaceful woods. This year, the emphasis was on connecting more deeply with both the natural setting and the Islamic texts, enriching the spiritual ambience for all involved.
After the morning’s serene readings, discussions took on a more dynamic and intensive approach, with mentors facilitating deeper dialogues on the complexities found in the texts. These interactions encouraged a more profound reflection and allowed campers to explore their beliefs and understandings in a supportive environment.
The afternoons brought a lively change of pace with continued sports activities, which were integral in building teamwork and leadership skills among the campers. This active period also included individual reflection time, leading up to a nourishing communal dinner.
Evening sessions included Quranic study circles, discussions on life skills from an Islamic perspective, and shared stories of Prophets and companions, emphasizing moral and ethical lessons applicable to contemporary issues.
Evening storytelling sessions by the bonfire became a cornerstone of the camp experience. The narratives shared by the mentors were specially chosen to complement the day’s discussions, deepening the campers’ understanding and appreciation of Islamic principles.
