This year, the Insight Foundation’s Youth Camp is delighted to welcome campers to the captivating natural environment of Voorhees State Park. Known for its expansive landscapes and tranquil settings, Voorhees provides an ideal backdrop for spiritual reflection and vigorous outdoor activities. Our 2024 camp theme, “New Horizons,” symbolizes not only our change in location but also our commitment to broadening the educational and recreational experiences available to our participants.

Begin each day immersed in spiritual serenity with Tahajjud prayers at dawn. This practice allows campers to connect with their faith in the quiet, early hours, setting a peaceful tone for the day. The new surroundings at Voorhees State Park, with its inspiring vistas and calming natural sounds, enhance the spiritual experience, encouraging deeper reflection and mindfulness.

Our camp sessions are designed to deepen understanding and foster a greater appreciation of Islamic teachings. In the lush, vibrant settings of Voorhees, campers will gather for guided readings of Islamic texts, followed by interactive discussions. These sessions take advantage of the park’s natural beauty, which provides a perfect setting for profound spiritual and educational engagements. The discussions are structured to be dynamic, allowing campers to explore complex ideas and share their interpretations and thoughts in a supportive environment.

After mornings dedicated to spiritual and intellectual enrichment, afternoons at the camp are bustling with energy. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities. From team sports like volleyball and soccer to individual physical challenges and leisure activities, there’s something for everyone. These activities are not only fun but also build teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship among the campers.

As the day winds down, campers gather around a warm, crackling campfire for a night of stories and discussions. This cherished tradition combines storytelling with reflection sessions, where campers and mentors share insights and discuss the day’s lessons. Accompanied by warm tea and fresh biscuits, these sessions are a camper favorite, providing a cozy atmosphere for bonding and delving deeper into spiritual and personal growth.
